Victoria Moorwood is a multimedia journalist and freelancer. She currently writes and produces videos for online publication and has worked as a television field producer, radio host, social media manager, booking producer and newspaper writer.
Victoria’s work has been published on Soundigest, The Corner, KCR College Radio, Mount Desert Islander, KUSI.com and SDSU News Center. She has interviewed X Ambassadors, K Camp, Rapsody, COIN, Dirty Heads, lil aaron, Creed Bratton (The Office), Sheppard, Citizen, Jay 305, Jahkoy, Rozes, RoadTrip, Alex Aiono, Liz Huett, Ocean Park Standoff, Stanaj, Mondo Cozmo, The Skins, Young Rising Sons, The Shadowboxes and many more.
She has on-camera interviewing and hosting experience both for TV and YouTube. She is comfortable both on camera and behind the camera, as well as producing.
She worked as a field producer for San Diego’s “The Prep Pigskin Report” on KUSI-TV, reporting on local high school football games for the nation’s #1 ranked high school football show, writing TV scripts, producing packages, interviewing on-camera and writing articles for KUSI.com.
She was Editor-in-Chief and creator of Aztec Music Group‘s electronic home for music journalism, The Corner. She started The Corner blog with artist interviews and music news and the blog has since expanded to cover a range of concert reviews, artist interviews, music news and more.
Victoria hosted a news radio show for KCR College Radio from 2014 to 2017 and blogged for the station as well. She and her co-host won “Best News Show” for covering international, political and local news.
Victoria is also knowledgable about social entrepreneurship and social media. She worked as a social media manager for two San Diego based companies and as a booking producer for a brand journalism and marketing podcast, which in 2015 was named a top marketing podcast by Cision.
Victoria enjoys volunteerism, health & fitness, going to concerts and traveling.
